Rocken v0.3 on FVWM v2.5.28

To update, just right-click on desktop and select "Backup and Update" :D

Changelog :
---------------------------------------08/02/11--------------------------------------------
:bulletblack: Fixed an annoying bug at startup (had crosshair, and had to click several times in order to startup)
:bulletblack: Updated the Cheat list
:bulletblack: Added scroll desktop action. Hold CTR + ALT + Mouse 1 when selecting titlebar and move left or right. Useful to take a quick glance ;)
---------------------------------------18/09/10--------------------------------------------
:bulletblack: Animated window shading : windows will shade and move downward staying at the bottom of the screen. RIght-clicking on them will restore their original position.
:bulletblack: Animated window closing : windows will move upward out of screen and close.
:bulletblack: Now check at startup for update, and notify if an update for the configuration is available (Screen)
:bulletblack: Middle-click on desktop will raise a menu with the configuration manual
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

! Preview is better seen in fullview (Right-click on image > Copy Image Link and paste the link in another window/tab) or have a look here : Preview !

!! This configuration was made for a 1920x1200 screen, so keep in mind you may have additional tuning to do !!

Installation Process :

- Unzip the archive in your "~" folder (/home/user). That's it
- Read the preview for hints

Hello aleks223,

That's really strange.
The only option I see is that something is covering up the area, like conky, or a borderless term.
Would you mind sending me a screenshot ?

Hey no problem man! Honestly, those configs don't require credit :P But I'm glad you got some use out of them! I personally haven't used FVWM since I posted those configs ... heck, I haven't even been using Linux even though I have it on here. Windows 7 sorta destroyed my customizing "spark" :/

Light as hell, too. XD I think FVWM and E17 are the only environments I know of that have pseudo-transparency on things, for people without hardware acceleration. And both run well on machines with negligible RAM, although I'd say FVWM is obviously a bit lighter, since it needs about 16 MB of RAM, and E17 needs a whopping 64! :O

This looks great! I've been considering going back to one of the minimal/*box window managers as I don't like the direction Gnome (Gnome shell and Unity) is going. They are trying to put a netbook/touch UI on my desktop and I don't want or need it. And I'm not a fan of KDE so my options are getting limited on the full DE side of things.

Sorry for the late answer ... Happy new year, and best wishes ! :)
So you're not convinced by gnome shell either :D That's pretty much in development right now, still I don't quite see where the project's heading to. Lately I've been using e16(can't stand e17), fvwm and KDE4 (strange mix, I know :)). I'm still perplex about this plasma thing, though (use only the trash and service manager on the desktop :D). You may want to try e16 and grab a few themes there :)

Happy New Year to you as well! I tried e16 ages ago, many times. It never clicked with me. I think e17 is an improvement though. Plasma seems like a mishmash of cool ideas that that never quite gelled.

Amazing work! I need to get back into FVWM again :D

Still have it installed, just for tinkering with it every now and then, but I never really got the urge to actually sit down and really wrap my head around it...

BTW, nice idea with the update straight from the menu, I might have to steal that for my upcoming PeKWM & Openbox release :D
